The IBL Bible institute inherited from the founding committee a statement of faith, inspired by Protestant/Evangelical traditions and considered the very soul of the Institute. The IBL’s statement of faith essentially enshrines belief in:

1. The full authority of the Bible as the inspired word of God;
2. Jesus Christ as the only Son of God;
3. The experience of the new birth;
4. The baptism and gifts of the Spirit;
5. The resurrection of the dead;
6. The eternal judgment.
